Who We Are

The Sole Representative Body of Canvas & Tent Makers in Pakistan

The Pakistan Canvas and Tents Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCTMEA) is established and licensed under License No. 46 granted by the Directorate General of Trade Organizations (DGTO), Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan, under the Trade Organizations Act.

For over six decades, Pakistan has held a premier international reputation as the premier global manufacturer of 100% cotton canvas, heavy-duty tarpaulins, and disaster relief shelters. Our member industrial units convert raw Pakistani cotton into world-class technical textiles trusted by the United Nations (UNHCR, IFRC, WFP), armed forces, and global commercial importers.

Our association has stood for decades as a bulwark of industrial manufacturing, providing resilient emergency shelter solutions in critical humanitarian crises globally.\n\nPakistan's cotton canvas is globally revered for its strength, tensile endurance, and superior water and fire-retardant finish. As we navigate the evolving global supply chain, our focus remains on modernizing production facilities, adhering to international eco-standards, expanding into luxury glamping architecture, and ensuring seamless collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, FBR, and international aid agencies.\n\nI encourage all registered members to actively participate in Association committees, trade delegations, and technical seminars. Legal Charter

Memorandum & Articles of Association

PCTMEA operates strictly under the legal framework defined in its Memorandum and Articles of Association approved by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan under the Trade Organizations Act 2013.\n\nThe constitution defines the powers and duties of the Central Chairman, Senior Vice Chairman, Vice Chairmen (Northern and Southern Zones), Executive Committee members, and the Secretariat. It establishes clear protocols for membership eligibility (Associate and Corporate classes), voting rights, disciplinary oversight, dispute arbitration, and financial audits by approved Chartered Accountant firms.
